'Bank Gallery: Personal Spaces'

"I chose the paintings for their dream-like figuralism and shifted dimensions, to direct the viewer's attention to a different interpretation of a mundane. I picked everyday situations in public places - like travelling on a train or visiting the pub - and turned them into an intimate space: to describe a state of mind, a suspension in time. I notice, that this state is often present and can be evoked, we just often too busy to notice it."
